ABOUT
Hello! My name is Laura Trinder and I love children’s books. Reading, illustrating, writing, recommending and editing them. I even like tidying them and can’t help doing it while browsing bookshops (curse of the ex-bookseller).
I created The Midnight Hour trilogy with my friend, Benjamin Read. Our stories are published by Chicken House in the UK and are lucky enough to be translated into many different languages.
I work from home in Hertfordshire, UK, where I share an office with a my husband Chris Wildgoose, a fiddle fig named Phoebe, and now my baby daughter too.
In my spare time, I enjoy growing vegetables and flowers on my allotment and being a volunteer mentor for MCR Pathways.
My favourite things are books, dogs, hot buttered toast, plants, huge scarves that turn into blankets, walks, bonfires, hammocks, and everything autumnal.
